Common Criteria certification of IT security products used in defence and national security applications in Australia. In common with many other nations, this certification is mandatory. So when voice authentication was deployed into secure ministerial communications networks, the vendor needed to find an organisation with the skill and resources to provide the specialised pre-certification consulting services to develop the Security Target (or ST) for the system.
